Speaking of Miss Viola her new ABC legal thriller "How to Get Away With Murder," debuted to an impressive 14 million viewers. According to the LA Times If ratings hold, that makes it the most-watched TV show, even including CBS' "Thursday Night Football."

Ahhh that's awesome!!!! Thursday night belongs to Shonda Rhimes!

This great timing for Onika because the show airs on Sunday, November 9 — two weeks before her third studio album, The Pinkprint, drops

Now this is major for the “Anaconda” rapper. Serving as both MC and performer, that's a huge achievement.

So proud to announce the launch of my new jacket!!!!

Over the past few months I've been working on designing my first line of jackets incorporating twill, rib and ankara into one FAB garment!

I wanted to design a jacket that you could dress up or dress down. It's sporty yet chic and can be worn a plethora of ways. Stay tuned to the blog to see the other samples/colors that I come up with..

It's been a labor of love folks and I'm so excited to share it with you.

For the third time in a row- Miss America hails from the Big Apple!

This has got to be some kinda history making win.  C'mon New York!

Miss New York Kira Kazantsev has been named the new Miss America, marking the third year in a row that a contestant from her state has walked away with the crown in the nationally televised pageant.

Per USA Today

For her talent performance, Kazantsev sang Pharrell Williams' "Happy" while sitting cross-legged on the stage and banging a red plastic cup on the floor. 

She named combating sexual assault in the military as the issue about which she would want female U.S. Senators to press their male counterparts. The first runner-up was Miss Virginia Courtney Paige Garrett.

Congrats to Kira, what an awesome win for NY!

Kevin Hart HartBeat event brings out Solange, Keri Hilson, Kendrick Lamar & more

Over the weekend Kevin Hart and his celebrity friends took over Las Vegas for his 2nd Annual HartBeat Weekend.  

Each day was filled with non-stop entertainment that included sold out comedy shows, concerts and parties. 

On Friday (Sept. 5), Hart hosted back-to-back, sold-out performances of Kevin Hart & Friends Comedy All-Stars.  Kevin served as master of ceremony for an evening of stand-up performances for fans as comedians Donnell Rawlings, Rodney Perry and Corey Holcomb took hilarious turns on the Mophie stage inside of The Chelsea.  Following the comedy show Kevin hosted an after-party at Rose.Rabbit.Lie, where guests enjoyed DJ sets from Solange Knowles, Spinderella and DJ EQue.  

HartBeat Weekend turned it up a notch later that night with a sold-out concert by Grammy nominated rapper Kendrick Lamar 

The concert was at the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, powered by Coke Zero.  

Kevin hosted the concert and introduced Kendrick and opening act Kerri Hilson

Keri is such a beauty! Love her braids!

MTV EMA ANNOUNCES “BEST AFRICAN ACT” CATEGORY

This is shaping up to be Davido's year. Fresh after picking a BET Award in LA this year, it was announced that's he also nominated for a EMA Award.

He just tweeted

Davido(Nigeria), Goldfish (South Africa), Diamond(Tanzania) and Toofan (Togo) will be battling it out for supremacy in this hotly contested category. 

In addition, for the first time ever, MTV is putting an EMA nomination in the hands of the fans via social media, so music lovers everywhere will have the power to help select the fifth nominee for Best African Act. Fans can tweet and vote from the following list of artists to earn the fifth nominee spot using the hashtag #MTVEMA plus the relevant hashtag for your favourite artist from the following list:

The Obama family’s personal chef and President Barack Obama’s senior policy advisor – is a lucky man. 

He got hitched this past Saturday to Alex Wagner, host of MSNBC’s“Now With Alex Wagner,” and he had some special guests: the president and the first lady.

Sasha & Malia Obama also attended the wedding! Look at how fast they've grown! Such beautiful young ladies!

The wedding was held at the Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a working farm and restaurant that's become a foodie destination in the Hudson Valley. Congrats to the couple!

First look at Angelina Jolie's wedding dress!

Ahhh we finally get to see the real pics from the Brangelina wedding! The couple wed in secrecy last weekend and we were all chomping at the bit to see the official images from the nuptials. Now they are here!!

So my initial thoughts are I love how her gown is simple but stylish and yet its effortlessly glamorous. 

Angelina  commissioned Atelier Versace to sew dozens of designs from her children's drawings into the dress and veil. It's unconventional but it works!
