Quote of the day - actress Katherine Heigl

Grey's  Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl is opening up about her marriage to country singer Josh Kelley in a new magazine interview. She speaks candidly on the issues of infidelity and she has interesting views on the very touchy matter.

Katherine says " I’ve seen friends and acquaintances go through it and they’ve found a way back to the relationship, and a way to forgive each other. As much as I would kill him if he cheated because it would destroy me, I have started to question whether, if a mistake were to be made and it was a one-time thing, I would forgive him.

'Because look at the life we’ve built together. We have history, we have a child...But at the same time, it would be really hard to ever fully trust that person again.'

Interesting views there Miss Heigl. So I guess if her hubby just cheated once then it's ok but if it was long and sordid affair she would have to reassess the situation? I wonder if Katherine's husband Josh feels the same way? Would he be so quick to forgive Katherine?

What are you thoughts on this issue? Would you forgive your partner if they cheated?

Zimbabwean Pride: Designer Farai Simoyi

This past weekend I was invited by my girl Afrosocialite to the MaMa Africa  Noire Chic Benefit fashion show. I was honestly beyond thrilled to see that Farai Simoyi was one of the designers asked to participate in the event. In case you don't know about Miss Simoyi, she was born in Britain but is of  Zimbabwean descent.

I love to see my Zim peeps making big strides in the world. Farai has been named "The Next Best Designer" by Essence Magazine and also showcased her collections during New York Fashion week.

Check out the video below to see some of the super chic apparel from her Madam Rouge collection.

Did you know David Guetta’s wife is Cameroonian?

Check out this picture of a laid back Jada Pinkett Smith and her hubby Will Smith flanked by super producer David Guetta and his wife Cathy. What's remarkable about this picture is not only how unbelievably cute Jada looks without makeup on, but the fact that David is married to an African woman. I don't know why I love that so much but I just do!

Who knew David liked a little milk in his coffee?

Cathy Guetta was born on the 27th of March 1963 in Dakar, Senegal of a Cameroonian father and a French mother. She is an entrepreneur and actress. She got married to the international celebrity David Guetta in 1992 and has two kids Tim Elvis and Angie

I'm not mad at David at all!

Btw, I seriously love David Guetta's music, he is one of few DJ's I would pay money to see spin. He really knows how to get the party going!

What happened when I met Lala..

A few weeks ago I was invited to a celeb studded party and I met a ton of stars. One of them was former MTV video jockey Lala Vasquez aka Carmelo Anthony's wife.

Lala walked past me with her entourage and I quickly nabbed her attention. I asked her for a pic and the conversation went a little something like this:

Me: Hey Lala, you look great. May I take a picture with you?

Lala: Of course you can, I love the necklace on you, looks great!

Me: Thank you so much.

My friend proceeds to take the picture and I thank Mrs. Anthony before she walks away. I gotta tell you she was super nice! I have to be honest though, I hadn't watched her VH1 show for a number of reasons but her demeanor that night was so pleasant and warm it really changed my opinion of her!

Stay tuned for my next feature of celeb run-ins!

Would you date a man that's shorter than you?

Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson and his wife Maya Samuelsson  attended the 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City.  Don't they look lovely? Btw, Marcus is also the head chef at Red Rooster in Harlem, It's a super trendy place and the food is delicious!!

In any event..

Clearly Maya (who's a supermodel) is a tad bit taller than her hubby which leads me to my next question. Ladies would you date a man that is shorter than you? Or that is a deal breaker?
